Unified Talent Group is partnered with an industry leading manufacturing company in the Wichita KS area, in search of a Staff Accountant to support its accounting department. This position will handle general accounting responsibilities, manage weekly payroll with oversight from the Assistant Controller, and provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
\n
• Research and resolve financial discrepancies.
\n
• Assist with month-end closing requirements.
\n
• Prepare accounting reports for management.
\n
• Support internal and external audit requests.
\n
• Process weekly and supplemental payrolls.
\n
• Prepare monthly payroll journal entries and payroll reports.
\n
• Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable.
\n
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
\n
• Follow established internal controls and protect confidential financial information.
\n
• Research accounting policies and respond to questions from internal departments.
\n
• Participate in monthly physical inventory counts.
\n
• Complete special projects and financial analyses as requested.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
\n
• At least two years of general accounting experience.
\n
• Knowledge of general ledger accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
\n
• Experience with UKG or Kronos is preferred.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
\n
• Experience using accounting software and business systems.
\n
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
