We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the daily operations of our library. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing library materials, including checking in and out books, organizing shelves, and maintaining an accurate inventory. You will provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with locating resources, answering inquiries, and promoting library programs. Key responsibilities include: Assisting patrons with finding and checking out library materials. Organizing and shelving books and other resources. Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the library space. Processing new materials, including cataloging and labeling. Supporting library programs and events by setting up and assisting during activities. Conducting basic reference services and helping patrons with research inquiries. Assisting with the management of digital resources and online databases. Collaborating with library staff to enhance services and improve user experience. Performing administrative tasks as needed, such as data entry and record keeping. Qualifications: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with library systems and cataloging is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills. A passion for promoting literacy and a love for reading.
